Bikini turns 60
July 5, 2006 the bikini turns 60. Above is Micheline Bernardini wearing the first modern bikini. Designed by French designer Louis Réard it was named after the Bikini Atoll in the Pacific Ocean where the U.S. Army tested the nuclear bomb.
